CM Sr. HR Generalist

Position Summary: The Senior Human Resources Generalist is a strategic HR partner within the food and beverage manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for providing HR support and leadership to assigned teams, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations while driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and performance. The role collaborates closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to promote a positive and productive work culture. Education & Experience Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. • 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience, with demonstrated expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, and training. • 2+ years of supervisory experience, preferably leading HR support teams or administrative staff. • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably food & beverage processing, is highly preferred. • Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as Kronos, Workday, or similar HR management systems. • Experience with HR system upgrades and implementations is a plus. • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, OSHA, FLSA, Title VII, and Workers' Compensation. Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations & Performance Management: • Provides guidance and support to employees, supervisors, and managers on employee relations issues, workplace conflicts, and performance management. • Coaches supervisors and managers on performance improvement plans (PIPs), corrective action processes, and disciplinary procedures to maintain a fair and consistent approach. • Investigates employee complaints, misconduct allegations, or policy violations, ensuring prompt and thorough resolution while mitigating risks for the company. • Facilitates conflict resolution discussions to foster a positive and productive work environment. HR Operations & Compliance: • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies, including FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and non-discrimination regulations. • Manages the administration of FMLA, OFLA, STD, and other leave of absence programs, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with employees. • Oversees the processing of job requisitions, hiring activities, and onboarding for salaried employees in collaboration with hiring managers. • Assists in compensation reviews and salary benchmarking, ensuring competitive and equitable pay structures. • Maintains and updates the Hourly Employee Handbook and ensures HR policies and procedures are current and aligned with company standards. • Partners with the Safety & Compliance team to support workplace safety initiatives and regulatory adherence. Training & Development: • Conducts new hire orientation sessions to ensure employees understand company policies, expectations, and workplace culture. • Provides supervisory training to new and existing managers on leadership, conflict resolution, performance management, and legal compliance. • Delivers workplace training programs, including non-harassment, workplace violence prevention, and safety compliance. • Assists in the development and execution of employee engagement and wellness programs to promote a healthy work environment. HR Data Management & Reporting: • Tracks and maintains key HR metrics, including turnover rates, headcount, applicant flow, new hires, promotions, and terminations. • Prepares HR reports and analytics to provide insights on workforce trends and recommend process improvements. • Collaborates with leadership on HR data-driven decision-making to enhance employee experience and productivity. Employee Engagement & Culture Development: • Serves as an HR representative on various committees, special projects, and community outreach initiatives. • Assists in developing and executing employee engagement strategies to enhance workplace morale and job satisfaction. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and reports. ? Ability to influence and drive change, partnering with leadership to enhance workplace culture.
