Manage and maintain database systems in the cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity and security.
Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, including performance, capacity, and replication.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain database solutions to support business needs.
Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data is protected and recoverable.
Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as patching and upgrades, to ensure systems are up to date and secure.
Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure accurate and effective use of database systems.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices related to cloud-based database administration.
Proactively identify and resolve database performance and security issues to ensure optimal system functionality.
Provide technical support and guidance to other teams and stakeholders on database-related matters.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure the timely and effective resolution of any database-related issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve any database-related incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
Continuously monitor and analyze database performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Assist in the planning and execution of database migrations and upgrades to ensure a smooth transition to new systems.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to any after-hours database emergencies as needed.
