Clinical Director (4-Day Work Week, Fridays Off)

Overview Peaceful Psychotherapy is a fast-growing group practice focused on redefining how therapy is delivered—through creative tools, measurable progress, and a strong emphasis on developing excellent therapists. We have grown 10x over the past 2 years, and are continuing to scale. We are hiring a Clinical Director to help bring structure, accountability, and clinical excellence to that growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-growth, execution-focused environment and is comfortable operating with speed, autonomy, and ownership. This is a fractional leadership role with a 4-day work week (Fridays off). The structure is intentional and designed for someone who values impact, autonomy, and efficiency over a traditional 5-day schedule. Role Structure • Manage supervisors • Manage 5 supervise clinicians (~20% of time) • Upkeep Clinical Standards • Build out new clinical systems What You’ll Do Manage Supervisors • Directly manage a team of clinical supervisors • Hold them accountable to performance, KPIs, and follow-through • Conduct biweekly check-ins Provide Supervision (Limited Scope) • Supervise up to 5 clinicians • ~20% of your time Clinical Learning & Training • Learn and implement clinical frameworks and approaches based on the direction of the practice (e.g. FIT, specific psychotherapy models, concepts from books) • Quickly absorb assigned material and translate it into practical application within the practice • Develop training materials, systems, and frameworks to roll out these approaches across clinicians • Help operationalize new clinical philosophies into day-to-day therapist behavior and workflows Own Metrics + Performance • Monitor both supervisor and clinician KPIs • Track retention, churn, documentation quality, outcomes Drive Clinical Quality & Standards • Continuously audit clinical work, systems, and supervisor performance • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas of risk • Bring your own standards, frameworks, and expectations and elevate the practice to meet them • Ensure compliance with insurance and NY regulations Enforce Accountability • Deliver direct feedback • Run PIPs and ensure follow-through Execute and Build • Implement new systems and initiatives • Train others and operationalize ideas Requirements • LMHC license in New York (required) • Experience supervising clinicians • Strong understanding of insurance/NYSED compliance Who You Are • You have experience in structured environments (corporate, healthcare systems, or similar) and are comfortable operating with standards, accountability, and performance expectations. You may also have experience in startup or high-growth settings and can move quickly in less structured environments. • You are scrappy, highly autonomous, and take ownership. You identify problems, think critically, and execute without needing heavy direction. • You are genuinely interested in therapy and clinical work. You read and engage with psychology or therapy-related material and think about how to improve clinical outcomes. • You are organized and data-oriented. You are comfortable tracking performance, using metrics, and bringing structure to systems. • You are direct in communication and comfortable holding others accountable.
