Description
The Client Strategy Director is responsible for identifying and advancing key strategic priorities that support client growth and business performance. Operating within a defined area of responsibility, this individual partners across internal and external teams to help shape strategy, guide execution, and ensure alignment against shared objectives.
The role operates across several core areas: contributing to strategic planning and business direction, supporting financial and operational performance, and fostering strong collaboration across internal & external teams. This individual plays a key role in connecting priorities, enabling cross-functional alignment, and driving consistent progress against business goals.
For this role we prefer that candidates are based out of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CT, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MN, MO, MS, NV, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI.
Responsibilities
Help shape client experience, ensuring alignment, consistency, and quality across teams
Lead development of strategies aligned to client objectives and long-term growth
Set and oversee key performance goals across internal teams and initiatives
Serve as a trusted advisor, supporting client planning and decision-making
Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders
Partner with internal leaders to align on priorities, resources, and direction
Lead planning efforts to ensure cohesive strategies across functions
Support integration of cross-functional capabilities into broader strategies
Act as an escalation point for client issues and ensure timely resolution
Maintain consistent client communication to drive alignment and transparency
Participate in key client meetings and stay informed on industry and partner developments
Requirements
10+ years of experience in consumer packaged goods, retail, or related industries
Experience working with multiple key retailers and services (Walmart, Target, Kroger, Costco, Sam’s Club, Amazon, Media, Shopper, Digital Commerce)
5+ years of leadership experience, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams
Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder strategies and deliver results
Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of retail and marketplace dynamics
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
High level of ownership, curiosity, and a solution-oriented mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), BI Platforms, LLMs.
Preferred
Experience managing and driving commercialization of regional or national brand-level strategy.

We carefully consider a wide-ranging list of factors to determine compensation, including but not limited to level of job-related experience, knowledge, skills, location, etc. Base pay is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package.
The national hiring range for this position is $165,000-$200,000 per year. Additionally, this position is eligible to participate in our bonus program.
