Job Description:
• support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA) by providing construction oversight for projects in coordination with Project Engineers, Contracting Officer Representatives, and Contracting Officers.
• responsible for monitoring construction activities, reporting progress and issues, and ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and objectives.
• ensure contractor compliance with FAA Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) policies, applicable regulations, and contract requirements while providing field construction monitoring & quality assurance
• monitor construction progress against approved schedules, review contractor reports, and communicate status, risks, and deviations from plans and specifications
• support construction inspections, commissioning, and closeout activities, including the tracking and coordinating resolution of punch list items
• maintain accurate daily reports and as-built documentation and support project management activities (e.g., safety plans, sequencing, risk, & quality) using strong communication (verbal and written) skills
• assist with basic design modifications, constructability reviews, and field-driven adjustments; support coordination with engineering/design stakeholders, and share technical knowledge with team members
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited)
• ten (10) years of relevant experience in construction of commercial, industrial, or government facilities
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, plans and specifications, building materials, and applicable codes and quality standards
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, engineers, and government stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Sheets, Google Docs, and construction document review tools such as Bluebeam or similar
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, based on project needs
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain a U.S. passport
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening.
