Business Development Officer - Asset Based Lending

As a Business Development Officer - ABL at Associated Bank, you'll drive growth by originating and closing complex Asset Based Lending opportunities with mid-sized and large clients. This role builds strong referral networks and delivers tailored financial solutions that deepen client relationships. You'll have the opportunity to expand market presence while collaborating across business lines to create long-term value. This role will cover the southeastern region and must be located in Florida, Alabama or South Carolina. Key Accountabilities • Drive new business through Centers of Influence including private equity sponsors, attorneys, and investment bankers. • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of ABL opportunities from initial contact through closing. • Analyze financial statements, collateral, and risk to structure sound and competitive credit solutions. • Partner with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions across treasury, capital markets, and wealth services. • Present loan opportunities and recommend pricing, structure, and return strategies. • Manage due diligence and coordinate internal/external stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle. • Maintain accurate pipeline and relationship data in CRM systems such as Salesforce. • Represent the bank in community and industry events to build brand presence and referral networks. Education & Experience Required: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 8+ years of Asset Based Lending or B2B sales/business development experience • Proven track record in sales performance and client relationship management • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred: • 10+ years of Asset Based Lending or B2B sales/business development experience • Experience with non-borrowing products such as treasury management or capital markets solutions Why You'll Love Working Here At Associated Bank, you'll join a collaborative team focused on growth, innovation, and long-term client success. The pay range represents anticipated base pay for this role.
