Job Description:
• Develop thought leadership pieces that position the company as an industry expert and trusted voice.
• Research and write long‑form content such as whitepapers, articles, reports, and industry insights.
• Conduct interviews with internal experts to gather information and strengthen content depth.
• Support the Director of Marketing and Communications in developing long‑form content, industry‑focused materials, and internal communications.
• Draft copy for newsletters, announcements, presentations, and other communication channels.
• Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Property & Casualty (P&C) and Employee Benefits (EB).
• Ensure all written content aligns with brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines.
• Edit and proofread materials for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
• Maintain editorial standards and contribute to the development of style guidelines.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor messaging, and emerging topics.
• Use insights to craft relevant, timely, and authoritative content that supports business objectives.
• Monitor industry publications and market developments to identify new content opportunities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional writing experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or a related industry.
• Experience producing long‑form content and thought leadership pieces.
• Prior experience supporting marketing or communications teams is preferred.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging content.
• Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with brand voice development and editorial style guidelines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with content management systems is a plus.
