Location: We are a located in Virginia, and are only hiring those in the DMV area. We are a 100% remote company.
Position Type: This position starts out contract with training in the first three months. Our training rates are paid at $22 and $32 an hour. If within the first three months you feel comfortable with the position and have completed training, you will be offered a payroll position paying $25 and $35 an hour ($25 for bookkeeping and $35 for payroll, GovCon and accounting).
Position Title: Bookkeeper
Responsibilities:
• Assist other bookkeepers with current clients
• Full Charge Bookkeepingon a monthly basis
• Books and CoA cleanup
• Produce monthly Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and projections
• Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate financial records
• Utilize QuickBooks, Excel, and Google Suite proficiently (Unanet is also preferred)
Requirements:
• 5 years or more of bookkeeping experience
• 4 years of QuickBooks experience
• 2 years of governmental accounting experience
• 2 years of payroll experience
• Familiarity with Excel and Google Suite
• HR background is helpful (but not mandatory)
• Certification is a plus, but not a requirement
Opportunity for Growth:
After a successful 3-month contract period, the bookkeeper will have the opportunity to become a payroll employee.
Disclaimer: The Accounting industry is fast-paced and sometimes overwhelming and stressful. It requires a lot of thinking on your toes, and problem solving. Proactiveness and experience working alone is helpful. We offer plenty of support and daily touch bases while you acclimate, however, the work is ultimately your responsibility.
