Book Publishing & Library Distribution Specialist (ISBN / Library Submission / Digital Distribution)
We are seeking an experienced publishing and library distribution specialist to assist with the official registration, cataloging, and public distribution of three already completed and published short books written by master perfumist Mr Ali Attar of [The House of The Perfumist] www.theperfumist.com
These books are already fully completed and available in PDF format on our website. This project is not focused on commercial profit or book sales. The primary purpose is cultural preservation, public exposure, historical documentation, educational outreach, and increasing awareness of the ancient art of natural perfumery.
We are looking for somebody with real-world experience in book publishing workflows, ISBN registration, public library submissions, cataloging systems, and digital distribution platforms preferable who have some expereicne in submission of book to govermental libraries and NPO's
No writing, editing, formatting, design, illustration, or graphic work is required.
The books are already complete.
Your role will be focused entirely on registration, distribution, submission, and maximizing public accessibility and institutional exposure.
Scope of Work
The selected specialist will assist with the following:
ISBN Registration
• Obtain and assign ISBN numbers for all three books
• Advise on the best ISBN structure and ownership setup
• Ensure all ISBN registrations are completed properly and professionally done
• Assist with metadata preparation and proper publishing information
Library & Institutional Submission
Submit the books to:
• Library of Congress
• Public library systems
• University libraries
• Research institutions
• Academic archives
• Digital repositories
• Cultural preservation catalogs
• Relevant perfume, olfactory, historical, or cultural institutions where applicable
Digital Publishing & Distribution
Assist with:

• Free digital distribution platforms
• Open-access book repositories

Exposure & Discoverability Strategy
Provide guidance and recommendations on:
• Metadata optimization
• Categories and indexing
• Keyword strategy
• Public discoverability
• Academic exposure
• Library catalog visibility
• Long-term archival preservation
• Additional methods for increasing organic exposure and educational reach

• The books are already complete and published in PDF format
• No editing or rewriting is required
• No design or formatting work is required
• No cover creation is required
• No marketing ads or paid promotional campaigns are required
• This is not a profit-focused publishing project
• The objective is preservation, exposure, credibility, accessibility, and educational reach
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for somebody who:
• Has direct experience with ISBN registration and publishing workflows
• Has successfully submitted books to libraries or institutional archives before
• Understands cataloging systems and digital publishing standards
• Has experience with platforms such as Draft2Digital, KDP, Ingram, library systems, or archival repositories
• Understands metadata optimization and discoverability
• Can work independently and provide strategic recommendations
• Has strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is highly preferred:
• Independent publishing
• Academic publishing
• Library science
• Digital archiving
• Cultural preservation projects
• Non-commercial educational distribution
• Historical or niche publishing projects
Deliverables
The final deliverables should include:
• ISBN registration completed for all three books
• Confirmation and documentation of all submissions
• List of platforms, repositories, libraries, and institutions submitted to
• Accounts or publishing access transferred to us where applicable
• Recommendations report for future expansion and discoverability
• Clear documentation of all completed work
