CTG is seeking to fill a Benchling Consultant – LIMS & GxP position for our client.
Location: RemoteDuration: 7 months
Duties:
Develop and maintain Python-based automation and integration solutions using the Benchling SDK in a regulated GxP environment
Design, build, and support RESTful API integrations between Benchling and external systems, including laboratory instruments and data platforms
Configure and enhance Benchling LIMS modules, including Core Platform, Dev Platform, Inventory, Notebook, Registry, Schemas, Workflows, and Insights Dashboards
Support data modeling and SQL development for complex laboratory data structures
Implement audit trails and ensure data integrity through compliant, time-stamped system logging
Execute and support validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ documentation and testing
Configure access controls, security permissions, and organizational structures within Benchling
Collaborate with cross-functional scientific, QA, and IT teams to deliver compliant digital lab solutions
Participate in Agile development lifecycle activities including requirements analysis, development, testing, and deployment
Skills:
Strong Python development skills, including use of the Benchling SDK
Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
Strong SQL and relational data modeling expertise
Hands-on experience with Benchling LIMS configuration, customization, and workflow development
Deep understanding of Benchling modules (Registry, Inventory, Notebook, Schemas, Workflows, Dashboards, Core Platform)
Experience integrating LIMS with external systems and instruments
Strong knowledge of GxP compliance, audit trails, and data integrity principles
Familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ validation processes
Experience with Azure-based services for integration or data workflows
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in regulated environments
Experience:
Mid-level Software Developer / Engineer experience required
Prior hands-on experience with Benchling in a GxP-regulated environment strongly preferred
Experience supporting LIMS implementations or laboratory digital transformation initiatives
Background in Python automation, API integration, and enterprise data systems
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $55.00 to $60.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
