Job Summary
The Associate Vice President of Recruitment (Online & Nationwide) is a senior enrollment leader responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, data-driven recruitment strategy serving adult learners, working professionals, and students enrolled in online and nationwide undergraduate and graduate programs. Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the AVP directly supervises a team of recruiters and provides strategic direct oversight of the Senior Director of Military & Graduate Engagement and the Senior Director of Military & Community Engagement — including the partnership development function that builds employer and organizational relationships through discounted tuition programs. This position collaborates closely with Financial Aid, Marketing, Enrollment Services, Student Success, and Academic Affairs to drive enrollment growth and advance Columbia College's mission of accessible, high-quality education.
Essential Functions
Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive, long-term, data-driven recruitment plan targeting adult learners, working professionals, and online and nationwide undergraduate and graduate student populations. Supervise a team of online and nationwide recruiters; provide hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and professional development for all direct reports.
Provide strategic oversight and leadership to the Senior Director of Military & Graduate Engagement and the Senior Director of Military & Community Engagement, aligning their efforts with division-wide enrollment goals.
Oversee, through the Senior Director of Military & Community Engagement, the partnership development function — led by the Assistant Director of Partnerships — responsible for building relationships with businesses and organizations that offer employees discounted tuition rates, expanding the adult student pipeline.
Leverage CRM platforms and predictive analytics to manage recruitment pipelines, optimize territory performance, personalize outreach at scale, and improve the student experience from initial inquiry through enrollment.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators and enrollment metrics; prepare routine and ad hoc reports to inform data-driven decisions at the division and institutional level.
Collaborate with Financial Aid, Marketing, Enrollment Services, Student Success, and Academic Affairs to design integrated, student-centered recruitment and communication strategies.
Drive digital-first recruitment strategies through emerging technologies, multi-channel communications, and AI-enabled tools to generate and convert prospective student inquiries for online and adult programs.
Serve as a senior member of the Enrollment Management leadership team, contributing to division strategy, planning, and institutional culture.
Manage the recruitment budget responsibly; set fiscal priorities and ensure all operations remain within allocated resources each fiscal year.
Foster an inclusive, collaborative work culture that values employee development, cultural competency, and a shared commitment to student success.
Stay current on national enrollment trends, adult learning best practices, online education market dynamics, and emerging technologies through ongoing professional development and peer engagement.
Contribute to the overall success of the College by performing other duties as assigned.

This position carries direct supervisory responsibility for the following, with indirect oversight as noted:
Online and Nationwide Recruiters (undergraduate and graduate), including two Assistant Directors of Recruitment
Senior Director of Military & Graduate Engagement
Required Education
Master's Degree in Communications, Higher Education Administration, College Student Affairs, Business Administration, or a related field
