Provide career advising and support to students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Develop and implement programs and resources to assist students in identifying and achieving their career goals.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and job market outlook to provide relevant and accurate career advice to students.
Conduct workshops and presentations on career-related topics such as resume writing, job search strategies, and interviewing skills.
Collaborate with other departments and faculty members to integrate career development into the academic curriculum.
Utilize career assessment tools to help students identify their skills, interests, and values and explore potential career paths.
Maintain accurate records of student interactions and track student progress towards career goals.
Build and maintain relationships with employers to create internship and job opportunities for students.
Coordinate career fairs and networking events to connect students with potential employers.
Serve as a liaison between students and alumni to facilitate mentorship and networking opportunities.
Provide support and guidance to students experiencing academic or personal challenges that may impact their career development.
Continuously assess and improve career advising services to meet the changing needs of students.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in the field of career advising and student success.
Act as a role model and advocate for the University's mission to support student success.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Career Advising and Student Success.
