Architect II - Royal Oak MI

Position: Architect II Location: Royal Oak, Michigan Work Type: Hybrid Eligible / Office-Based Job Type: Full-Time / Exempt Experience: 5–7 Years Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Architect II to join a collaborative architectural team supporting healthcare, institutional, and commercial projects. This role involves contributing across multiple phases of design and documentation while working closely with senior architects, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical production skills, good knowledge of building codes, and the ability to work with increasing independence while supporting project delivery from design through construction administration. Key Responsibilities  Develop architectural drawings, details, and construction documents (SD, DD, CD, CA)   Support code research (IBC, ADA, local building codes, life safety requirements)   Coordinate with consultants and engineering teams using Revit/BIM   Participate in design and coordination meetings   Assist with material selection and specification development   Support construction administration (RFIs, submittals, punch lists, site visits)   Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with project standards   Support and guide junior team members when needed  Requirements  Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture (accredited program)   5–7 years of architectural experience   Strong proficiency in Revit   Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam preferred   Strong knowledge of building codes and construction documentation   Experience in healthcare, institutional, or commercial projects preferred   Strong communication and coordination skills  Work Environment Collaborative design studio environment working with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
