Role Overview
We are looking for a technically strong and commercially driven Business Development Manager with hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam etc. This role requires a blend of sales expertise and technical capability, where you will not only drive new business but also conduct product demos and handle basic technical discussions with clients across architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify and generate new business opportunities within the AEC sector
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure
Develop relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants
Achieve and exceed revenue and sales targets
Technical Pre-Sales & Demos
Deliver product demonstrations for AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam solutions
Understand client requirements and recommend suitable workflows/solutions
Explain basic technical features, integrations, and use cases to clients
Support clients during trial phases and proof-of-concept discussions
Client Engagement & Account Management
Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business and technical needs
Manage client communication throughout the sales cycle
Collaborate with internal technical teams for advanced queries or custom solutions
Market & Industry Awareness
Stay updated on AEC industry trends, BIM practices, and digital construction tools
Provide insights on competitor offerings and customer demands
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with marketing and recruitment teams to align on growth strategies
Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and provide regular sales reports
Key Requirements
3–7+ years of experience in Business Development / Sales in AEC, SaaS, or engineering solutions
Strong working knowledge of: AEC Software
Ability to conduct live demos and explain technical concepts clearly
Experience selling to international clients (US/Australia preferred)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
Background in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
Experience with BIM workflows and digital construction tools
Prior experience in pre-sales or solution consulting roles
Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.)
