Job Summary
This Advisor, Component Costing & Maintenance Analytics is a pivotal addition to the Presource business, ensuring that component-level accuracy is maintained both throughout the year and during critical cost roll periods. By strengthening ownership of acquisition cost management and component synchronization, this position directly supports margin protection, financial accuracy, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Component Setup & Maintenance
Lead the setup of new rebated components, ensuring accurate configuration aligned with rebate structures, contracts, and stocking requirements
Maintain and update component data throughout its lifecycle to ensure alignment with:Rebate programs
Contract terms
Into-stock costing alignment
Ensure data integrity across systems through ownership of the component synchronization process
Acquisition Cost Management & Margin Protection
Guard the acquisition costing of rebated components, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the year
Monitor and analyze acquisition cost changes and trends across the component portfolio
Partner directly with Sourcing to:Understand drivers behind cost increases
Validate cost changes and timing
Evaluate financial impact of acquisition cost changes and identify areas of vulnerability to margin erosion
Develop and recommend mitigation strategies leveraging the chargeback program and contract structures
Rebate & Costing Alignment
Ensure rebate structures are accurately reflected in component-level costing
Support alignment between rebate realization and into-stock cost, enabling accurate financial reporting and margin visibility
Identify and resolve discrepancies between costing, rebates, and contract terms
Cost Roll Execution & Support
Act as a primary liaison to the Sourcing organization during cost roll cycles
Validate and ensure the accurate loading of updated component costs into stock
Provide oversight and quality control of component costing changes during cost roll
Support issue resolution and ensure minimal disruption to downstream financial processes
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance
Serve as the central point of coordination between Presource Finance, Sourcing, and operational teams on component-related costing matters
Establish and enforce best practices for component maintenance and costing accuracy
Provide insights and reporting on cost trends, risks, and opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or related field, preferred
Strong understanding of costing, rebates, and contract structures preferred
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, PRMS) and large data sets
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business insights
Strong collaboration and communication skills, particularly with cross-functional teams
Location: This role is remote and can be based anywhere within the United States. Candidates must be able to work within EST or CST business hours.
Anticipated salary range: $68,500 - $96,300
