Adjunct – Communication Sciences and Disorders – Online – College of Nursing and Health Care Professions
Are you passionate about shaping future health care leaders and helping students discover their purpose? The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at GCU is seeking knowledgeable, mission-driven Adjunct Faculty to teach Communication Sciences and Disorders online.
This course provides a broad overview of the field of speech-language pathology and audiology and an introduction to specific disorders, related assessments, and evidence-based interventional methodologies.
What You Will Do
Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction using innovative teaching methods and current industry technologies
Maintain compliance with accreditation standards
Model the holistic tenets of the nursing profession and uphold the University’s mission and pillars
Facilitate meaningful classroom discussions, assess student learning, and prepare students for leadership roles in health care
Support program initiatives and demonstrate alignment with the philosophy and direction of the University
Provide a positive example by supporting GCU’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission
What You Will Bring
Required: Masters/Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology AND 5 or more years of professional experience.
Previous professional experience teaching communication sciences and disorders at the postsecondary level is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships with students
Proficiency in English, grammar, and APA writing
