Account Executive, Employee Benefits (Healthcare) Base Salary: $125,000 - $165,000 OTE: $300,000+ (Uncapped pothential) + Commission Equity: Substantial early-stage equity grants Location: Remote / Hybrid Options Available Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a strategic and proactive Employee Benefits Account Executive to serve as the primary point of contact for our diverse portfolio of corporate clients. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, helping employers navigate the complex landscape of healthcare benefits, ensuring high client retention, and driving the successful implementation of innovative health solutions. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder who understands the nuances of the healthcare insurance market and possesses the analytical skills to manage renewals, open enrollment, and ongoing benefit strategy. Key Responsibilities • Client Relationship Management: Act as the lead point of contact for all client matters, building long-term relationships with HR directors and C-suite executives. • Renewal & Strategy: Manage the full renewal process, including marketing to carriers, analyzing quotes, and presenting strategic recommendations to clients. • Implementation & Enrollment: Coordinate and lead open enrollment meetings (virtual and in-person) and oversee the implementation of new benefit programs. • Compliance Oversight: Ensure all client benefit plans remain compliant with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and other federal/state regulations. • Problem Resolution: Resolve complex claims, billing, and eligibility issues by advocating for the client with insurance carriers. • Growth & Retention: Identify opportunities for cross-selling ancillary products or digital health tools to enhance the client’s benefit package. Qualifications • Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in employee benefits account executive, ideally within an insurance brokerage or consulting firm. • Licensing: Active Life and Health Insurance License required (or ability to obtain within 90 days). • Knowledge: Deep understanding of fully-insured and self-funded medical plans, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits. • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Benefit Administration Systems (BenAdmin), CRM software, and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables). • Communication: Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to explain complex healthcare concepts to diverse audiences.
